Small Drone Tracks Boat Thieves

[The on-line story linked below tells how a] 14-year-old used a small drone to chase after Camano Island (Washington) boat thieves who stole the family dingy off a mooring:

The boat being used by the thieves to steal the dingy was itself stolen. They must not have taken the boat very far away, as a small hobby drone would not have a particularly long flight range, nor would its remote control system probably be able to operate at long range.
