Jimh , you had us worried sick for some time when the site went off line . We wondered if you had thrown in the towel and called it quits . Then word came that you were giving the site a lifestyle lift. We all waited patiently for the bandages to be removed so we could see the results for the first time. I like what I see and congratulate you for your hard work on bringing CW into the 21st Century . Long live Continouswave!

I can attest to the worries when the old site went down. Glad to see it back up and much improved. I sincerely hope that it takes some of the admin load off your back. You are a saint amongst those of us that can't pass a day without some Boston Whaler info in front of us when we are unable to actually use our boats!

Hello Mambo, BlackLab: I can tell you from my point of view it is also very good to have the forum back. And thanks for taking the extra time to re=-register and to post an article.

Hi Frank--Thanks for the kind words.

We were just up north on the Leelanau peninsula. The forecast for the weekend was for SNOW FLURRIES. You have to pick your boating days carefully in October.

I LOVE the Spell Check since I can't type nor spell.

Thank you Jim. I know you love doing this, but it is a lot of work and takes supreme dedication. Us Whaler owners really appreciate what you have done and continue to do. I salute you.

Thanks for the return. I was horrified 2 weeks ago not being able to find continuous wave. I purchased a new bunk trailer for my 64 Sakonnet and wanted to check measurements. My son has repeatedly asked me to become a member and was surprised I wasn't due to the time spent on this site. Your site has given an old boat a new life. I will post pictures and a brief history of my project later this fall. Thanks for all your information and work with this valuable site. dougd

Thank you for resurecting CW

Postby Speedbump » Tue Oct 20, 2015 3:46 pm

Imagine my surprise and dismay when trying to log into CW last month to secure info on a soon to be Outrage 20 purchase and find the site down and out. Having been a loyal and active member for years and enjoying the sharing of information, technical data and support while restoring first a 13''whaler and then later a beautiful Nausett turned Eastport, I was truly bummed.

I am so happy to see the new site format and the inclusion of restored data and information, unfortunately the site didn't remember me so I am a new registration with an old name and am looking forward to using the knowledge base here to restore my new acquisition a '96 Outrage 20 (19) .

Now if I can only find the post classic forums. Hmm

Happy to be back,
thanks Jim !

The segregation of discussion of Boston Whaler boats made after the epoch of c.1990 into its own isolated forum ended years ago. The "Post-Classic" designation was always a bit controversial in itself. Heck, now some of those 1990's boat are looking more like classics when you compare them to the 2015 models.

Hey guys--thank you for coming back to the new forum and re-registering. It gives me a lot of pleasure to see so many old hands returning. Your kind words about the website's return and the new forum are great to hear. It took a lot of work--computer and internet work--to get this accomplished. There are still a lot of little glitches to be fixed. But I think the website is about 95-percent back to normal. I look forward to the next 15 years of hosting this forum.

Also, I merged all the threads on this general topic into this one thread. It's a new feature for administration of the forum software.

Appreciate the effort, and hard work jimh. -- I was a bit concerned about your health, and of course your CW legacy.

Jim,

I'm happy to see the site back. I don't know why I couldn't reach the site for two weeks after it was back up. I'm glad I emailed you directly to find out what was up.

Thanks again,

Doug Vazquez

DOUG--you were probably using a link that was not working any more. I made a new custom 404-NOT FOUND error page to help people who keep trying old links that are dead now.

I too am glad everything is back up! I was a little worried when I kept getting the old 400 error page. Any idea when we can use the private message feature? It just says "you have to participate more" to use it. I was going to send speedbump a congrats message for his new 20 OR. Guess I'll have to do it here! :D

Almost gave up hope. Glad I thought to check in this morning. Your site is the link between Boston Whaler owners and makes owning a Boston Whaler more pleasurable.
