Please Help. I've found a 1980 Revenge V-22 with a cabin and a 1992 Johnson 175 motor. The hull looks great, the wood needs some love, and electronics are minimal. I'm new to the Whaler World and very interested in this boat.It's beautiful. Can someone please give me some pointers on this model. What to look for? Any problem areas? How about a fair value? Asking price is $9000. I can't find any similar models for sale to compare a prices.

If I was in the market for a boat like that, I would pay extra special attention to how the boat was trailered. WHALERS have some special needs when it comes to trailering, especially the bigger ones. There is some excellent information on this site from LHG and others on this topic. You just have to look for it! It's all here! Improper trailering of a Whaler can cause a lot of damage to the hull.
