Greetings:I've got a line on a 21' Voyager, a 1976 model with an OMC 305 c.i. rated at 245hp. It's a cuddy cabin with a head, and seems to be priced right. I've not yet seen it, as it is several hours from my place. Not being familiar with the old Whaler's, could anyone shed some light on this model before I take-off? Good design, weight, etc. Your help appreciated.

The model you are referring to was called a "Yankee Voyager" and is a little known offering of Boston Whaler. It was a venture using a traditional, non-foamed hull, and I believe the boats were subbed out, and not actually made by Whaler. They were, however, very high quality and nice looking boats. I have seen one, and met a fellow from suburban Detroit (Birmingham MI, I think) who owns one and really likes it. There was some discussion on this model in the previous Whaler Forum. |

Patrick: Further to my above message, the person you want to correspond with is Paul Loock, email ploock00@usa.net He owns a 21' Yankee Voyager and I'm sure can give you some good information. He may or may not remember me, but tell him I sent you. And tell him about continuouswave.com I'm sure he'll enjoy the site. Larry Goltz |
