I've had an 11', 13', 17Newport, the proto-type GTX (disaster) and the Outrage 24. Just ordered the new Outrage 26 with Twin 200 HPDI Yamahas. Does anyone have any idea what my top end speed will be with this set-up ? Thanks.

Dealer told me (while trying to sell me one) that the 26 outrage with 2/225 Merc Optimax's
runs around 50mph. My guess is that you'll get about 46mph. The boat's pretty heavy.

Larry is probably right on with the high 40's!

The Whaler information sheet I have on the 26 performance using dual Merc 225 EFI's show it loaded with one person 1/2 tank of fuel or 690lbs ---

56.6@5600 w/14x19 Offshore 4 blade
54.7@5400 w/15-1/4x10 Mirage + SS
53.8@5200 w/14-3/4x21 Mirage + SS
53.2@5400 w/14x21 Offshore 4 blade

Sorry they didn't test with Yam's but at least this might give you an indication of what to expect -- Tom

Casey,

When you get her would appreciate a report and your feelings on the 200 HPDI counter rotators.

Can't afford this year to replace our 200hp cr '87's Yam's but hoping to next year on the 27 ---

Regards Tom
