I have just acquired and started to restore and 1964 13' Sport, serial number 12967. The State of New York thinks it is a 1965 but your reference section identifies it as a 1964. The exterior has been gel coated and it has bottom paint. The interior is now blue again rather than chalky white. It has a 1974 40 HP Mercury that runs quite well. I have installed new steering cable, raised the engine 1" and installed hydrofoils on the lower unit. It now behaves much better in the water than the newer style 13 I had a few years ago.
The fun part will be refinishing the wood this winter. My best guess is that it has not been done since the boat was built in 1964! Been there, done that on a Currituck many years ago. All the wood is good except the bow locker cover (may be usable) and the small piece on the console front. I do need to get the decals for the side of the boat.

The boat is on Oneida Lake in Central New York and has to take care of me on a lake that is roughly 6 miles wide and 20 miles long. I expect it will do fine. I have enjoyed this forum and am glad to join in on it.

Welcome to the forum.

As for the year of your boat, it may be a 1965 model delivered in 1964. Usually boats made after August are denoted as the next year's model.

You`re Whaler interior of blue is correct and is factory, that`s the original blue! As for the Currituck you had, I can`t imagine you ever selling it. I have a 1973 `16 Currituck and just love it. I fish alot on Lake Erie with it and is stable as hell and is perfect for fishing. I used to own a 1971 `13 Sport and regret every day selling it. Mine also had blue interior. How do you feel now after selling you`re Currituck? I couldn`t imagine selling mine! Welcome to the forum-Jack Graner.
