I'm a new owner of a 1993 BW, 19'Outrage II. And also a new visiter of this site. I was informed of the site by a very helpfull woman from Boston Whaler in Florida.
I havent heard or seen many Whalers of this size and year.
I've been trying to find a couple things (for starters) for the boat and am asking for help. The Outrage in this year is equipped with a tall (approx 60") CC compared to the outrages prior to 1991. This particular console is hinged allowing it to fold forward. The top section of the seperated console has a removable net which acts as a shelf or floor. Preventing gear from falling on to the two batteries. Does anyone know where I can find a source for this net.
The second problem is a source for a boat cover. I ordered a "custom" BW cover through Boat US and found the cover to be to small. If I cut the top 15" off my console I believe it would have fit like a glove. Any recomendations?
Any other advise, helpful or not so helpful information regarding my new interest will be greatly appreciated.
On a good note, I've had this Whaler for 2 months and have enjoyed many days on the ocean around Cape Ann ( Essex, Rockport, Gloucester,) MA. and I must say, this Whaler is home in its natural environment!!!!

Welcome to the forum OTF --

Well your Outrage isn't exactly a "classic" one reason you don't see any in depth coverage on the forum -- you and her are more than welcome, because in my humble opinion Whalers of the '90's will become the classic's of the new millennium --

The console was the newer one introduced about the time of the Offshore 27 --- on the net issue afraid if BW can't give you a source maybe one of the members might know of one --

You can order a cover from Mills for your console --- http://www.millscanvas.com/
be warned these are top quality and at top price -- you though will receive top value for your $$$

Regards Tom

Tom, thanks for your reply. I'll hope to hear from others. I know Mills will be my best source for the cover however the cost is out of my range at this time. I may have to wait. The old saying, pay now or pay latter. Any suggestions on any other forums or sites.

Thanks again

Paul

Overtons has some Boston Whaler covers including the 18/19. Don't know if that would work for your 19 II.

You might try contacting www.canvaspc.com. I think they make alot of the covers that are sold by Overtons, BoatUS, etc.

Good luck,
Barry

The 19-foot Outrage-II is really a nice boat, a sure Neo-Classic. I had the pleasure of spending quite a bit of time aboard Jim Gibson's 19-Outrage-II this past weekend.

There is a lot to admire in the boat. The cockpit interior is formed by a one-piece liner, eliminating any floor panels, screws, and silicon-sealed seams. The mold is very developed, with plenty of storage compartments and other details molded in.

I was very impressed with the sea-keeping ability of the boat, as we made a long trip (75 miles) across Georgian Bay with pretty strong SW winds blowing up good sized waves.

Jim's boat has the leaning post seat, which proved to be very comfortable and provided good support and grab rails for us.

The canvas was not Mills; I believe that JIm mentioned that there was not a Mills package available at the time he bought the boat new (c.1991).

The only down side to the one-piece cockpit mold is the gas tank is completely encapsulated inside the hull. Were a major problem to develop, you'd probably have to send the boat back to the factory for refitting of a new tank.

Welcome to the FORUM.
