This is a little off-topic but I got zero response on the general boating forum I first posted it on. I converted an old galvanized trailer into a "boat lift" to attach to the float of my dock in salt water.
The roller attached to the back where the boat first comes into contact with the trailer rests half-submerged in the water and of course grows barnacles like crazy on the under side. Looking for suggestions (bottom paint?) on what to use on the roller to prevent this growth. This is the yellow-tinted polyurethane Stoltz roller. Thanks.

You answered your own question --- bottom paint for metal --- check out West Paint selections --- all the majors make special paint/primer for this purpose --- on the rollers just periodic cleaning is the only thing I can think --- paint won't adhere to them very well ---
