I found a 18' CC Mckee circa 1974. I know this is the whaler board but I know these boats are closely related. Do any of you know anything about these boats? Do you know where I can some pictures of one? I am going to add my Force 85HP, will this be enough to push it around.

Sorry Dannyboy... ...I've seen many around here on Galveston Bay.
I've also heard good things about them.

Other than that, I'm not much help as to details.

The 85 Should push it provided it's propped right and everything is in tune.

Good luck....

McKee is somwhat like the Whaler. I see a few around here. The best example I have looked at is owned by Southport Rescue Squad down south of Wilmington, NC. The got McKee Craft to do the hull in orange and use it for inshore and close offshore rescue work. The Coast Guard did use some back inthe 70's but most of what I see them with now is the Whaler in sizes ranging from 13' - 27'. Around here there have been a report from folks with the McKee that when they get into rough water, the center console and seating have come lose. Have not heard of this from Whaler.
