I was at the Baltimore Boat Show last night and took the time to watch the Boston Whaler display. I saw a lot of interest there compared to the other boats at the show. There were a great many people drawn to some of the models there. It seemed that the older couples gravitated towards the Conquest and the Outrage that was there. Groups of men were drawn to the 17 Montauk, younger families to the 13 Sport and young couples to the 16 Dauntless. These were the boats that grabbed most of the attention there. The only thing that drew more attention was "Twigging the sking squerel".
All models were shown with Mercury engines.
The Impact, and Venture line was almost ignored.
Anyone else get the same impression?

I also wanted to mention that the line up was more complete than what was at the Seattle Boat Show, I had attended it also. In Seattle the Boston Whalers were off the SeaRay dealership display and had missing the 17 Montauk, Conquest and Outrage lines while in Baltimore it was a Whaler dealership, Cheasepeake Whalertown, with the boats mentioned above.
Also there were engines of all makes there, a few Tohatsu, and Johnsons, more Yamahas and about the same in Hondas and Mercurys. I did not see any Suzukis, I might have missed them though.

Good friend of mine was at Columbia, South Carolina boat show 2 Saturdays ago. One dealer in particular was selling CHEAP - how
cheap? New, in the box 50HP Johnson, $2495, cash and carry. He had three. I suspect
there may be other deals coming up, possibly on bigger motors. Just a guess. Some more OMC deals may soon surface. Best, Mav
