as a first time caller let me say thanks to jmh and all the whaler guys.really enjoy reading the whole thing. Ask somebody that knows! what a collection of information and life's too short to make all the mistakes yourself....i'm a driver of a 2nd hand katama who likes the boat just like it is,although when i got it ,i wanted it to be a montauk. actually you really need one of each, right? like hunting rifles, canoes, and so on. QUESTION: where can i find a copy of the brochure for my boat? ('75, i think.)are there really owner's manuals? i have a 1964 dealer brochure that i'd swap photo copies's a pleasure thinking along with all of you, even the notorious "whalerguy".if he didn't exist he'd have to be invented...the "whaler moments" made my eyes leak...and this is too long.sorry about that.....keep on whaling hlm

Welcome to the Forum and cogratulations on you`re Katama! If you look on the transom at the hull #, the last 2 numbers of the # will be the year. If you have the non-smirk front end, it is deffinately pre-76`. Good luck- Jack Graner.

If you can identify the year I have several 1970 catalogs coming for my own collection.

I am not sure exactly the years that are coming. I would be glad to send you a photo copy of the year you need.
