Last weekend I was anchored in my favorite spot near Hillsboro Inlet in south Florida and saw many classic whalers. In fact There were 3 classics pulled up on the beach. There was an 11', a 13' and a montauk, all around mid to late 80's. Later on an older customized 71 16' showed up. As I spent the day watching the boats go in and out the inlet I saw more 13's, 15's, 17's and even a 22' or a 25' outrage cuddy cabin with a whaler drive. The model I saw the most of was the montauk, surprisingly most montauks were outfitted with 70's which is unusual for this area. I spoke with a few people and have mentioned this web site. Few had looked at it I hope that they log on and join us as members. I would welcome anyone in my area to join me in good whaler conversation the next time I'm out there. One thing that I thought was strange was that I was the only 18' outrage out there. Well I hope to see more classics in the future. Good boating and thanks to those who enjoy thier old Whalers!

George - If' you'd been there two weekends ago, you'd have run into me! It's terrible to be back up here in the cold. I also recently saw that 25 Outrage Cuddy with Whaler drive.
