As some may recall I recently purchased a 1978 Montauk. One of the nifty little gadgets included on this boat is a Dole Fluid Power Products Model SP500 hydraulic tilt. Pump it up and the 70hp mercury tilts up release the valve and it slides back down. The maufacturer is Arrow Machine Inc. located in Hutchinson Kansas. My local guru Mike at Lighthouse Marine told me this was an aftermarket add on that went by the wayside. I'm hoping someone can offer comment or elaborate on this system specifically addressing any routine maintenance requirements and also offer comment regarding specific hydraulic fluid requirements. Do I need to drain this a refill at any periodicity Thanks in advance.

Hello I live in North Carolina on High Rock Lake and I have a Dole Fluid Power Products Model S-P500 hydrolic tilt that still works great but my inpatient brother unscrewed the valve knob all the way out and the spring sent whatever "pin" or whatever you call it overboard. I would really appreciate the gentlemans number that manufactured it. If he does not have the part, maybe he could give me the specifcs on it and I'll have one machined. Thank you VERY much! I recently bought a [boat] with this same sp500 system and it works great but I am missing whatever pieces that go from the motor lifting bar on I'd sure like to have this guys octothrope too so I can find out what the idea was behind this even if I can just get a picture that I can fabricate.
