Just wanted to say a quick hello to everyone on the the forum. Great source of information and everyone gets along very well. Just sold my 15' super sport, and will be starting restoration on my next project a 1977 19' outrage within the next couple of weeks.
Hope to get pointers from the experts here during the rebuild. Again great site !!

Welcome to the Forum! I am a fellow older Outrage owner also.I have a `76 19` Outrage with a `85 115 Merc on it. It came with twin 50 Mercs on it but they were pretty tired, and one of them finally "bit it" and I found the 115 w/ low hours on it. I`ve had the boat 3 yrs and am very happy with it. Good luck getting it ready to go. Two things you might want to check right away are your thru hull tubes for the drain plugs are ok. Make sure the O rings around the tubes are in good shape & put your finger inside to make sure they aren`t rotted thru, also make sure your gunwale sides are secure. There is an angle on both sides at the stern that holds them secure. Have fun with it!
