I have a 95 Dauntless 13 with a 3 cylinder 50 HP Evinrude. The dealer also installed a 15 gallon fuel cell under the rear casting deck. Because of too much stern weight (I assume) the boat chine walks very badly at high speeds. I have put shims under the engine mounts to adjust the angle, and have doel fins. Any other suggestions?

I had a similar setup. I had problems with porposing. adjusting the trim and slowing down was the only thing that helped.

I have a 1995 Dauntless 13 with a 40 hp 2004 Evinrude ETEC outboard. It was rather stern heavy so I added about 60 pounds worth of sand in plastic bags. It evened out quite nicely. This may help in your case. That 3 cylinder Evinrude is very heavy so you may need more than 60 pounds. The Dauntless 13 has alot of bouyancy in the bow so do not worry about it being bown down. It is only about 2/3 inch lower in the bow at rest now. One other way to help the boat run better is to bring somebody along with you for the ride. Have him or her sit in the bow. Good luck.
