Condsidering buying one of these two model boats. The 21 WA appears tohave a wider beam. How does their ride compare. How about cockpit space and stability? They both look like great boats. Thanks for your help. I have searched thie andthe Neo classic forum but did not see this specific topic discussed.

These are really two very different boats.

First, the hulls: the 22-Revenge has a classic Dougherty style hull, with the bow "smirk" and still a bit of twin sponson design flanking the central vee in the stern. The 21 has a different hull, more of a deep-vee all the way.

The layout: the 22-Revenge, assuming it is a Walk Through, will have a wider cockpit at the helm area. The cabin will be a bit wider. The access to the foredeck is through the windshield. You will have to consider it this is better for you than the Walk-Around. With the Walk Around you get a narrower helm area but you can go forward very easily on either side.

In the aft cockpit the 21-WA has some small seats molded into the stern quarters and some storage lockers. The 22-Revenge will have a open cockpit, maybe some optional stern seating.

The 22-Revenge can handle twin engines; the 21-WA cannot.

I would suggest you try them both to see how you like them. The 21-WA boats are very well made and lack nothing for Whaler quality. Of course, they will be a bit newer than any 22-Revenge you find.

And there is always the condition of the two. And the prices!

And of course the engines. If you have to repower that can really affect the price/value of either boat!
