I'm still looking at the boat with the wavy side. But I havea question about the weight specs given in th classic whaler 16'-17' section of this web site. When it says the weight should be 950lbs., does that mean the bare hull or does it include the console etc.? The reason I ask is the boat I'm looking at was weighed at my request so I could try to determine if the hull was in any way waterlogged. It weighed in at 1874lbs including 280lb Mercury 75hp, 74lb. Mercury 8hp, 400lb Road Runner trailer, 40lbs of gas tanks, and 60lbs of batteries. Doing the math leaves me with a boat that appears to be 70lbs overweight... Any ideas?
