Put the Montauk in the water at 5:45 this morning for the first time this year. No one at the ramp but me, what a pleasure.
Went out and hit a few of the bass spots with no luck and then resorted to trolling for trout, lots of fish 130' to 150' but no luck. Normal fishing on Lake Washington.

Spent a couple hours working on the cruise for our upcoming rendezvous.

Got back to the ramp about 1pm, backed the trailer in and headed to the boat to load it. A guy with a nice inflatable asked me for a jump. Said it was his first time out this year and the battery was dead, he even had jumper cables. I pulled my trolling motor battery out and jumped him. The engine, a Nissan, started with no problem along with a dense cloud of the winterizing fogging oil.

I start my engine on the hose every time before heading to the ramp, just to make sure I am not the one asking for a jump.
"Oh well it was winterized that means it will run fine in the spring."

Had a great day on the water, saw quite a few Whalers and one beautifuly restored Gar Wood runabout.
