I am wondering if an 84 outrage would be underpowered w/ a 1999 Merc. Offshore. I was hoping for it to cruise@late 30s(mph) and top about 50mph. Is this merc 200 have a higer hp output than its 200 label. I always hear that mercs. put out higher than they are eted.
I appreciate your input.

Was also wondering what prop would help me w/ a decent hole shot and a nice top end? !7" 3 blade? any suggestions?

Hey DDG,
Did you decide to purchase the 22' outrage over the older model 21'? If you did, is the '78 21 outrage still for sale? I am in the market for a 70's model 21' outrage and would be interested hearing about the one you have been looking at (that is if you are not going to purchase it...don't want to step on anyones toes!).
