The stbd bow light on my Outrage does not work, so I took it apart. Looks like the wire going back to the console has a shoer, but I have now idea how it gets there, or how to replace it. The light, which has a nicly shaped aluminum cover, has "Navinum" stamped in very small letters on the top. Does anyone have any idea how to repair the wire, ore where one can get these style lights? I would also be interesed to know what type of nav lights are used on different year outrages (mfg and model). My boat is a 81' 25' Thanks

Please pardon my spelling (and typing ;)), I ment to say it has a short, and the light cover has "Marinum" not Navinum, stamped on it.Thanks, Larry |

Larry,I think you meant to say Marinium, which is an aluminum alloy used on the Whaler cleats and the Outrage bow lights during the CMI years. The wire to the bow lights is run inside the rub rail insert and then simply drilled through the gunnel and foam to the light itself. Very easy to replace, just pull the rub rail insert and run new wire. Given the age of your boat I would run new wire to both lights and be done with it, even if this is not the source of your short. |

Thanks Tom, that is a relief! I had visions of trying to thred wires through the foam between the access hatches for the stantions... very ugly dreams.Larry |
