This is my first post since returning to this "new" old Classic Whaler site. Glad to be back. Have a 68 Sakonnet with 79 Merc(115hp)with no power trim/tilt. Am interested in anyone's experience with aftermarket PT/T such as by CMC(Cook Mfg Co)or their jackplate or setbacks. If this info is available on previous thread would appreciate directions on how to find it.

Thanks, Jim

I have just recieved my power tilt/trim from CMC. The quality of the piece is excellent and their customer service support was great. When I called them to purcahse a unit, they directed me to an outside source who was selling the unit at a cheaper price!
Instrallation instructions are clear, and the installation seems simple. No hydraulic lines and pumps - only an electric line to the dash.
I plan on putting mine on a '63 17 footer with an '86 90hp Mercury. (or maybe the 55hp Bearcat if I finish it in time for this fishing season!)

Welcome aboard, Jim Bennett.

This website is not related to any of the previous sites you mention, except that the topic of this segment of the site and some of the participants are the same.

A Li Volsi,

Appreciate hearing from you later regarding the installation and operation of the CMC unit on your Whaler. Where did you get it and what was the price? Local dealer or mail order?

Jim
