I know that Mills is the way to go for a cover for my 18' outrage, but I don't really want to spend so much money for a cover that will not be used everyday. The boat lives 50/50 in the water and on the trailer. I have ordered sundura covers from overton's in the past for my 15'sport and they fit great. However, I don't care for the bright blue color they come in. I'm thinking of trying a tyvek cover for a center console. I am concerned about the fit of a generic pattern, but the dims are similar. The bow area might be my only trouble. Does anyone have any similar experience? Tahnks

our cover was made by a local canvas shop of nice teal sundura for about 4 bills. Check for a local source, I was not disappointed.

I love the look of my bright red Sunbrella custom cover. I handed my 4 year old slightly ripped, blue sundura cover to a local canvas shop and 3 bills and change later I had a new cover that fit even better than the previous cover. They even fit it to the boat and took in a few places to make it fit better than the pattern I handed them. (Note, this was for a 15' Sport, in Florida). A good shop can fit a cover to whatever you have, and customize it almost any way you like, it's all a matter of $$$ and time. My father has a two piece zip together cover for his 20' Edgewater. Having the cover in two pieces makes it easier to handle, and the front half from the console to the bow can be used as a rain shelter.
