Are there any owners of a 1970's 19 Ft. Outrage on this forum? I would like to corresnpond with you. I have a 1975 Outrage 19 Ft. with a 1990 150 HP Johnson and a 1996 6 HP Mercury Kicker. I purchased it last year and have no original documentation. Does anyone have the specifications for this boat. I keep the boat on a trailer in NJ but was a Fresh water boat all of its life. I want to do some minor restoration and would love to know what a good condition one looks like. There is a picture of a boat on this forum that looks exactly like mine. Here is the link. http://continuouswave.com/whaler/cetacea/cetaceaPage18.html Thanks...Mark

Hey Marco,

I own a 1973 19" outrage. I finished a complete restoration on the boat last spring. I sent pictures to the webmaster of this site several weeks ago and they should be posted soon. I do have the original owners manual as well. Since I restored or replaced every single item on the boat I am quite familiar with some of the finer details. Please feel free to email with any questions or to share your experiences.

I think my uncle has one. It looks like a oversize 16. It doesnt look like the whaler on pg.18 cetaeca. That whaler has raised sides or something, it could be but thats not the best picture nether. I think it has a pretty fast full though, my uncle has a Yamaha Enduro 60hp on it and it does 35+mph with light load and the speed doesnt drop much with heavier load. I was thinkin about buying it...pretty rare boat-Erik

I started my restoration process several months ago, and should be running and ready in the next couple of weeks. Please feel free to e-mail me with any questions you have and will help if I can.

Thanks for responding. Erik, I don't think the boat your uncle has is the same as mine. The boat on page 18 (with the new 200HP) looks to be the exact one I have. Makaira, I am really looking forward to seeing your pictures on this site. I purchased this boat and it had multiple owners who have done some interesting modifications (minor) regarding the electrical system. I just found a circuit breaker that I didn't know I had. Is there anyway I can copy your owner's manual? I can send you a stamped self addressed envelope. I will keep your email address and resurect this post if I need help. Thanks for offering. Whaler4Me, I am keen to know what you are doing re: your restoration. Good luck. Thanks for the offer of help. Bigshot, Since you no longer own your Outrage, would you be willing to sell your documentation?
Regards...Mark

Mark, I have owned the boat since 1990, but for reasons beyond my control the boat sat in storage for 10 years, with no maintanence at all. You can imagine the state that it was in. It had a full cover, but still was a wreck. The galvanized steel trailer rotted out from under it, so that was the first to be replaced with a Continental.
The Yamaha 150 was my next battle after not being run for such a long period of time, it needed much TLC and, it should finally be running today (I am going to meet my mechanic after work.) The interior and gel coat work is currently underway. Almost all of the teak and mahogony has been stripped and I'm starting the long varnishing process. The fuel tank has about 20 gallons of fuel that is coming out tomorrow as well as the tank being cleaned. I will start the electrical side of things next week. If and its a big IF all goes well I should be up and running by the in about two weeks. I will keep you posted if you like.
