Need new copper drain tube in my '71 Katama 16' 6" Whaler. My old one has flare on one end, plain on other.
Also what is best way to install, so no leaks. Thanks

Check in the Repair/Mod section. You may have to go back into previous posts to get this info.

Would be nice to replace that Item with a SS tube.

Replace it with one of the new PVC ones. They are easier to install and will last forever.

don't make the mistake of using copper. The original tubes are brass, copper won't last long at all in salt water. The moron at the boatyard that worked on my whaler used copper, I had to change it before using the boat. If you want a brass tube, marine surplus in sarasota FL has the tubing in uncut stock. The normal marine store sizes will be too short.
