Hi guys, very impressed with this forum! I stumbled into a 21' rib side outrage hull #00632. Didn't realize what I had until I found this site. Anyway, the previous owner had the battery just sitting on the deck infront of the well. My throbbing toes suggest that their must be a better location, but I must be too dense figure it out. I sure would appreciate your suggestions or solutions O Great Wizards of the Whaler World.

Welcome to the forum! Lotta info around these parts.

Since you've got real rare find, from what I recall, there's not alot of space inside the console, and it's mostly open.

Your model have the two quarter fuel tanks?. If so, then the standard place for the later outrages is out.

Any space under the console?

You could email me some jpg's of the console and rear areas and I might have a better idea.

Best - Don

JWK, nice boat. I have a hull in the 300's and love it. The guy before made a couple of modifications. First it has a leaning post and under-the-gunwale 28 gallon gas tanks. There is room for two batteries under the console. This is on the deck below the teak shelf. Not too hard to get to either. I have the AB switch and it has come in handy. If you repower with a oil injected engine there is room under the stern on either side for a 3 gallon oil tank. Keep us posted.
