Is that the "Force" Mercury engine in that? I think so! That should be enough right there. Jay, hang in there buddy. Go see it and take it for a ride, but I think you will pass. That 15 or 17 is around the corner. |

The boat is as new. It's absolute mint. I hit guy with an offer contingent on a ride. Looks like I'll have some talking to do with the boss. She doesn't know about the fishing trip yet either. Regards, Jay |

Jay, ya' gotta ask yourself, what do I want do with this boat? Fishing? Not with the Rage. Riding around in circles, trying to go fast and looking cool? Maybe the Rage. Before Whaler Simplex II gets the best of you, think before you leap. |

You guys are probably right, but the boat is new. I think I can get it for 5200.00. If my son and I like it we'll get, sell the 13' sport and still look for a used Montauk. Got the OK from the wife, she loves to tube and ski. Also, with the bimini top down we should be able to fish and get all the way around the boat. Jay |

I have owned my 95 Rage since new. I Love mine. That boat will have the 115 OMC Turbo Jet Motor, it should top out at 32mph on gps running 5000 rpms and 28mph with a full load. I use it for fishing on Lake Erie drifting and trolling. Taking the kids tubing and skiing (if under 160lbs). You must remember that it is a jet so their are some things you must be prepared for: it can overheat quickly if you suck up weeds happens most often late summer, makes it easier to jump in the water to unclog. Cold weather you must reach through swim platform to reach impeller when you slide the housing back. The slow speed steering is different much like a jetski but with practice I believe it to be easily controlled. The price of 5200 dollars is a steal if in excelent condition. They were over 14,000 new with Trailor cover and Bimmini. The only problem I have had is the coils will melt eventually. $25 per My motor has over 300hrs and i have replaced all the coils once. It gets over heated at least 3-4 times a summer so make sure the warning horn works. It will beep when you turn the key. Well thats about. Mine has been safe and reliable for the past six seasons and expect it to continue for many more or at least until the kids get done with it. Mike Lake Breeze Rage

Since OMC is gone, who is supporting repair parts to this jet drive and engine? Bombardier? |

Just got back from the test ride. I enjoyed the ride but we had a few problems. We sucked up some weeds and had to stop and clean the screen under the boat. Also, we tubed. It was OK with my son (80lbs) but when I (225lbs) tubed if I crossed the wake I took the control away from the steering and the boat bogged down. We decided not to buy the boat. It reminded me of a big jet ski. Regards, Jay |

Big basket wouldn't fit. But I took the guy to my favorite watering hole on the river after the ride (lunch only). Regards, Jay |
