Darn this is really stretching it! Just because the BW plant is "close" this "person" thinks he can solicit his rental in the area using that as the relational pretense to post on this non-commerical forum. Give us a break! |

I tried to find it on the web and it doesn't come up. I'll look at any place that offers that kind of fishing! The Whaler plant is located in Edgewater Fla.. We fished New Smyrna beach (near Edgewater) 4 years ago and came up empty. Regards, Jay |

I think it is ok for Mark to solicit his fish-hut but it should be on marketplace. Plus I am not sure if he is soliciting it, due to I can't get the site up. He never says anything about renting it out. It says cyberrentals but maybe he is renting it from someone else? |

Don't think this is Whaler related here or marketplace, fishing maybe but this is not a fishing forum! It is a nice place, just misplaced on the wrong forum. Factory is off A1A in Edgewater! Down the road from this rental? By the way BigShot there are yeah know specific guidelines regarding post. This forum is not a wide open "boat/fishing" forum or haven't you noticed! |

Bigshot- If you want humor and fantastic posts come w/ me to www.thehulltruth.com Intelligent people with great topics. We can misspell words, post in the wrong section, web master puts it in the right one, post pictures:), Edit posts, and have a great time. I have been over ther since feb, under the username Trayder, and its great. This forum is the BEST for whaler knowledge but it sure is a bit chilly, just check out the hot debate in the meta forum. JimH thanks for the time and your welcome for the mosts hits so far on a topic but Adios. BigZ "By the way BigShot there are yeah know specific guidelines regarding post. This forum is not a wide open "boat/fishing" forum or haven't you noticed! " are you for real, lighten up there are too many other things in life to be stressed about? |

I'll bite! Why don't you show us all where these "rules" are Mr. wannabe moderator. He HAS a Montauk and is offering us the chance for a vacation place(near the plant) to use them at. Other than being in the wrong section, I believe, until Jimh(the real moderator) says it is not, a valid market place item. So give us all the BigZ wealth of information and put your money where your mouth is! |

Bigshot, I've got a Montauk. Wanna buy my old truck? My used family room furniture? This (continusouswave) isn't the place to sell either one and it isn't the place to move real estate. As it says on the page with the list of the Classic Whaler: General -- General discussion of Classic Whalers. Real estate doesn't fit, unless maybe if it Chuck |

Rendezvous A separate section devoted to planning, organizing, and documenting Classic Whaler Rendezvous. It fits! Some members and I are gonna rent it and invite anyone who wants to come for free as long as they are hospitable, nonjudgmental, and respect others. I make an amazing blackened grouper. |

That is a losing proposition for you! You can visit some Baird offices or clients and write it off your taxes too. Chuck I need to rent your truck to tow across state;) |

Dan might I suggest a a web search for rental vacation properties in areas you might wish to visit. The rendezvous section has nothing what so ever to do with commercial vacation rentals (the gal isn't offering any Whaler by the way with this rental at least no mention of it wouldn't rent out a Whaler to just any character more important than the house). That area is for member generated informal suggestions on an area get together and reports of their own trip adventures. Though I might add, one might read about an area and ask questions of the local members. This has been done many times for a potential vacation destination. -- There however has been no commercial solicitation, just information passed on and suggestions given. I maintain that the forum should continue to remain as JimH originally envisioned it and if some folks don't like it well to each their own. Apparently some members, as expressed even in this post threads, sort of waxed over JimH's post explaining his position in the Meta section. Guess he should have placed it in General so everyone would read it. BS enjoy your rental and grouper, uhmm, oh never mind know you can't take a joke directed at you ---- kid ;]! |

Jokes I can always handle. Hostile, selfish and unnecessary remarks get my feathers ruffled, whether or not they are directed at me. It is just not necessary. Sorry Tsuriki, I am trying to be warm & fuzzy :) |

I checked out the rental on the website and it looks nice. Best part is it has a bulkhead to dock a boat (whaler) in the backyard. Plus Mark is a member of this forum. I don't think it's that big a deal for Mark to share the info and give forum members first chance at renting his place. |

11% tourist tax OUCH! Is this what happened to the intangibles tax? Big S are you considered a tourist if you pick up the tab? |

Being I am a FL resident, I will argue that point. Have to pay it at hotels, so....If you wear black socks with shorts, you have to pay the tax. If you have a camera around your neck, pay double. Business expense, you are all potential clients, especially the fish we catch :) Gives $$ for up to 9/1 and after 11/1, what about 9/2-10/31? |

Between my Packer season tickets and deer hunting I am pretty booked this fall. I thought maybe a FLA trip sometime this Winter. If not this place maybe Sanibel or the Keys. |

I'm an hour and a half from Sanibel, great place. At least that is what they say "after" I leave. Keys are always great. Not big on Key West though. Kind of like Ground Hog day(the movie). Go there 10 years from now and it is the same....scary! |
