I am looking for a boat cover for a Montauk. I went to West Marine, and they really did not have anything that they thought would work. Any ideas

Depends what you are looking for. I picked up a nice cover for my Montauk at Cabela's. They have custom fit for Montauks with rails and console. Has a bunch of travel straps that hitch on and go under the boat on the trailer. Very secure. Also has drawstring for fastening on if you just need a mooring cover.I think it was about $169. or so.

Agree on the Cabela's boat cover. Mine for the sport 13 was 129. Very well made.

I ordered a cover for my 17 GLS from coversearch.com on JUNE 28 and still have not gotten the cover. They said it has shipped but I still am not sure I trust that answer. I will reply when I get it and how well it fits.
It sure seamed easy to order but I guess too easy.

How do I convert my Mills Montauk mooring cover to a trailoring cover? I thought about having a local canvas shop install bungee hooks. Any other thoughts?

Just wanted to note that I too purchased a Cabela's...earlier this summer. It's an impressive product, and especially so for the money. Well designed and manufactured, and the fabric is notable as well. If I do any lengthly trailering I will add some soft reenforcement in a couple of areas. But for now it looks like it could be a "best buy."
