Does anyone have experiance or recall the BW quality problem in the 1980's that resulted in cetain hulls being recalled or replaced for hull delanination due to foam seperation or voids ? I believe this was with 22' hulls, but my info is sketchy.
Thanks for any information. Jim

I know all about the situation, but it was the 18 Outrage hulls, not the 22's.

It involved the first 100 or so of the 18's, mostly 1983 models. The signs were extreme waviness on the hull sides. Don't know the technical cause of the problem, but they corrected it and replaced about 100 (I think!) of these hulls at no cost over the ten year warranty period.

We had this happen with one boat at the dealership I worked at. Whaler replaced the hull for the customer at no cost and paid for the rigging. We retained the old hull and turned it into a shop boat, it's still running strong.
