Oops. Hit send instead of return. I've been following the Optimax thread under Post-Classics. Would you elaborate on the boating-industry.com news that we non-industry types can't get to? Thanks. -- lks

I got in no problem. You just need to create a login. there is nothing there. It was apparently removed by the editor.

LKS, Larry is correct they removed all the post at some point yesterday. They haven't removed the Headline Teaser as of this morning (which is the first thing I would have done) ---

You can easily register, however when they audit and they do like most trade rags, you may find yourself out in the cold again. Might be unlikely to ne booted if you don't subscribe to the email or mag. when asked and just use the BB for information.

I did email the editior, seriously doubt I'll receive a reply.

I posted onto that bbs a question about where the thread went. Should be humorous.

BigZ,
Can you Paraphrase for us the content of the missing thread?

Gene, no I can't since it was removed before I got into the BB. I usually read this site right after they do their daily news update around 12pm to 1pm EST daily -- it was removed rather quickly.

DC Peters read your post and there are a few responses -- no editor though has responded to you. However, another with threads on the subject was posted and the editor replied that they were against "community rules" so were removed ---

I received an email back from the editior from the one I sent with links to 4 specific topics relating to this Optimax situation from this forum. His comment "very interesting".

The Ficht's received lots of attention I might add on this "trade" BB -- wonder why Mercury hasn't --- humm -- think we know the answer silly me for even broaching the subject ----

In the case of OMC and the Ficht outboard, perhaps the marine industry learned just what happens when there is a lot of bad press about something.
