It was not easy to find her.
At least, since few days, Im a happy owner from a Boston Whaler Outrange 22 with twin Evinrude 140 V4.
She saw the water in 1988 for first time, and I have not idea where she was swiming all around the world before I meet her here, in the Canaries, where we are going to have a great time together. We love to dive, water ski and sometimes go for fishing (good area for big game).
The most of the people here has not idea what is a Boston Whaler, so it is very difficult for me to get information about this model.
I will very happy to hear anything from other outrange 22 owners, and even more happy to get some pictures or copy from the original catalog.

Thanks to the forum and greetings from the Canary Islands.

P.D. Excuse me for my poor english...

I can't believe that one of the other folks here did not beat me to the following response:

Congratulations on your new 1988 Outrage 22! I think you have a fine boat, and with dual engines... well I think you will find some kindred spirits here.

You will find a bunch of pictures in the Cetecea sections, go to the photo log and text search for 22 Outrage, or if you are like me just look at all the great pictures.

The part I think you will really like is the Rendezvous report at http://continuouswave.com/whaler/rendezvous/ It looks like they had a great trip last year, and there is a bunch of information there about Outrages there, 18's 19 a 22 and a 25.

Send us a few pictures. Winter is setting in for many of us and the only thing better than a Whaler is a whaler on warm water.
Enjoy...

I have been to the Canaries several times to visit the CEPSA refinery in Tennerife.

I found the islands absolutely beautiful.

You are fortunate to live there and now, even more so, with your new Whaler. Congratulations.

It sure would be interesting to find the history of that boat. Especially if it made the trip across the Atlantic. Welcome aboard jzf. Regards, Jay

Welcome, jzf, and great choice in both your make and model of boat!

There are a number of us here who have 22's of various years and configurations. For those of us who trailer our boats, it's a wonderful combination of big boat features allowing for offshore fishing and cruising with confidence, yet still portable enough that it can be (and is) trailered extensively.

There are some photos of my Outrage, "Outre'", in the Cetacea section Taylor referred to, and I'll e-mail you a couple more (if you'll e-mail some photos of your boat back to me!).

We had a high school senior from Las Palmas live with us for a year (1989-90) as a foreign exchange student. His home was (is) there, but he summered in Barcelona. He invited us to visit and we have always wanted to do so, but somehow have never found the time. The Canary Islands really do appeal to me, and I would still like to visit someday.

Please keep us posted as you get to know your new boat, and I hope you'll enjoy our community here.

By the way, jzf-

I have an Owner's Manual for the Outrage 22; if you have an interest, let me know and I will see if this new fax machine I have really will fax to an e-mail address like it's supposed to, and I'll send you a copy. (If you do want a copy and this fax-to-E-mail thing doesn't work, I'll mail a copy to you.)

Thank everybody for the nice wellcome.

Some of you wrote me about the Cetacea section; I enjoy all the pages already several times.
Ill try to have some nice material for a new Cetacea page in few weeks. Warm weather whaler (www?)pictures for JAC, perharps helps against the cold.

Kingfish, thanks for you Owner's Manual offert, it will be great to learn more obout the boat. Yesterday we took the boat out of the water (travel-lift)for some renew works, and the manual could help.

Regards to the forum from the sunny Canaries, Javier
