Just got back from Fla. and experienced just about everthing you could on a trip. We started in Appalach. to fish, using the Montauk, the 13' stayed home. We caught a large variety of fish, reds, spanish, black tip and a lot of trash. We had Thanksgiving in Ft. Myers, at my wifes uncles, we had black tip instead of turkey. We then headed for Marco Island to visit neighbors. I had to leave the Montauk parked off the island (what a bunch of snoots and snobs). We fished of the breakers on the south end of the island. It was great! We caught a snook, flounder, pompano and jacks. Then Friday night my son got sick. We had to take him to Naples Hospital at 1:00A.M. and spent most of the night there. He had a bad ear infection that was complicated with his CF. Then we drove home in a storm with the Montauk. At least it started out nice. Regards, Jay

Sounds like the fishing was pretty good, those Jacks can be a blast on light gear. At least you weren't stringing up your ice fishing gear. Gotta love the gulf!

Jay- Hey that snook is like a hole in one. Smart fish, they are. Congrats! Sorry about the weather. Chamber of Commerce stuff all thru Thanksgiving up to today-still alright. David

David, that was the second snook my son caught this year. The first was about 34" taken in April at St. Georges Island. This one was about 28". He had a light rig on both (10lb. test with a Penn spinner real). It made my whole trip watching him with that fish! Regards, Jay
