I'm here fellas, just busy. Went to Florida last week, Captiva, Naples, Port St Luci and Melbourne. Great weather. Took the boat out for a ride last Saturday night. Fun, but cold. Found a guy (Rizzi Marine) who will haul, power-wash and winterize her for $1090. I'm taking it. |

Larry, Eckkk ..$1090 does sound high, real high. I hope that includes shrink wrapping and a dozen red roses.<G> I'd be more than glad to help you winterize the outboard. It's so darn easy. John from Madison |

I know its high, but about $49 a foot seems to be the rate from Norwalk on down to the city. It's a joke. If you know of better rates in Fairfield county, let me know. I'd be glad to save the money! |

Larry, good to hear from you. Next time you go let me know. I had the Montauk with me in Ft. Myers and Naples at the same time. Regards, Jay |

For $1100 I'll fly up and do it. Does that include storage? You realize that winterizing is "basically" fogging it and changing lower unit oil. |

Larry that price does include winter storage? This I guess would be securing her on stands or blocking and a re-launch in the Spring?Larry, I was informed by a marine surveyor now living in NC formerly from your neck of the woods -- that marina rates in CT are out of sight even compared to Northern NJ and LI. Supply and demand simple as that I guess. We are paying for the 27's $341 each which is the winter storage rate --- includes haul out, blocking and re-launch in the Spring. Bottom power wash is $3 per ft additional. Shrink wrap runs $10-12 per ft., flat rate to winterize an outboard is $90. --- We have boats coming up the Delaware to the Maurice river as far away as Tom's River for winter storage. The yard though can only handle up to 38' and only about 130-140 boats. Sounds like you had a nice vacation, Tom |

Bigz, I'm paying $520 for inside storage for my montauk in cape may county. I think winterizing was about $100, power wash 3.00/foot. Shrink wrap, which I'm not getting, starts at $7.50/foot. Annoying to pay for some of this stuff, especially power washing since I have a 6.5HP washer at home (100 miles from the boat). Wish I still had room for the boat in my garage at home. Really don't need the trailer. May sell it. Dave |
