I have an old combo loran-depth/fish finder made by King. The transducer reads both speed and water temp in addition to depth. I'm wondering if this transducer will work for a new unit such as the garmin 168 gps/sounder? Maybe the connections need to swaped out? I know some of you are very knowledgeable in this area I'm hoping someone can shed some light. Thanks

Won't work-don't try.Your old one is called a triducer because it does 3 funtions.Every transducer is specfic to the head unit and is tuned for than curcuit for best proformance. Also there are many frequencies of tranducers and they must match the curcuit frequency used in the head unit.
