Reain all the comments in "sad sad thing" got me to thinking about the price. I need some help . If a new Mercedes E-class,3500#, cost $54k, that is about $15.43 /lb. If a new Montauk(75hp merc and trailer) cost $22-25K, lets say $23.5k and weighs about 1500#, that is about $15.67/lb. Is the design and engineering in the same category for the price to be almost equal. Maybe Brunswick should look into their pricing strategy. It maybe be too low. I have a 67 16'7 and love it.

I also meant to add that Brunswick could lower its cost and selling price if it really wanted to , thus selling a lot more units and avoid discontinuing the Montauk. |

Marty - do you pull you 16'7" whaler with your E-class? Serious question, I have a 300TE, and I'd like to go on a trip to Desolation Sound (from Seattle) next summer. |

Tree houses, what tree houses? I seem to recall George Dyson lived in one, but that's all I know. Do tel! Last time I was in Desolation sound Regan was a new president, and I was in a kayak. No, I have a line on a cabin in Cortez Bay, Quadra Island maybe, if I get in the line early enough. A Tahoe... does everyone have an SUV but me? |

My son sold his E320 and bought a ML320 because MB wouldn't give the E a tow rating. The ML does a fine job of towing a Montauk, but has to struggle a bit to tow a OR-18.Red sky at night. . . JB :) |
