Our annual Christmas party was yet another success. We had about 75 here, with the weather in the 70's. The hull builder at Whaler, Tim, (also our best man) gave us a model of a 1961 Nauset. The detail is unbelieveable! The little rods actually fit in the rod holders, chrome cletes, bow lights, rails ans all. Blue inside, with a Fisher motor. (which ment alot to me, as I'm a Fisher) It even moves the motor when turning the stering wheel. The detail of the console was neet too; has the switches for the lights, etc. We took it over to the family's house on Christmas and let Uncle Carl pick it apart. The only thing that wasn't origonal was the brass on the bow,it was chrome. This was a unique gift that will be cherrished for a lifetime. Happy Holidays to all...Janis

Also another thought.....
My son, who's currently living out in San Diego and trying to find a job in architecture got Gail to send a print of our Outrage to him about a month ago.
I opened up a large tube yesterday, and there was a stunning pen and ink drawing of her on the Lake Huron chart. It was done in pointilism (using black rather then color dots by hand) technique.
It's gonna hang right in my office, where I have a view of the St. Clair River, come January 7th.
I'll take a photo of it, and have Jim post it somewhere, if possible.
He's trying to figure out how much to charge for something like this.

I also got a new digital camera...give me a couple days to figure it out, but I'll get it on here somewhere! The drawing sounds really neet, can't wait for the pix..

Janis, perhaps I can help you out.
It's the same thing Jimh received as part of his award package. Regards, Jay

Wait, Jay. Janis says her motor is a Fisher...the link shows a Merc. Hmmm. Are there special motors available?

Maybe she has something else. When I talked to Danbury they only had one model. Do you think that it's a Merc because the links from Whaler? Regards, Jay
