I saw a certificate that was presented from Boston Whaler for the "Captain's Club". Is anyone familiar with this club?

I joined many years ago (probably 25) as it was offered to all whaler owners through the company. I still have my orig. member wall cert. and decal etc. We used to get a quarterly newsletter from the company club editor which was newsey and had lots of pics and a running contest like oldest whaler, biggest fish of whatever kind caught from a whaler and news notes from members. I think it dropped out of sight in the early 90's.

Ray, thanks for the clarification. I had wondered if it was a certificate that was awarded after the purchase of X amount of whalers or what.
I guess you guys really can call yourself "Captain".

Called Whaler news and was from around 1980 til 92? I have issues from 81-90 or 91. I was in it for a while for most Whalers owned in a certain period but it did not last long. They sent me a set of decals and a hlf dozen hats and a couple patches. Was really neat. Now you go on their website and sign up for the newsletter that nobody ever receives.
