Although I've seen his business talked about on this board I can't find a web site for Daves Upholstery. Directory assistance for Lake Tahoe area has no listing but I've seen the web site and phone number within the last three or four months. Any help out there?

Thanks. Its the only way I can stay sane in this business, particularly at this time of the year here on Lake Michigan. I put more hours on my 13' last year than I did on my big boat. My 12 year old son had the charts out last week. He wants to tow the 13' up to Northport, WI in June, take it over on the ferry to Washington Island and start hitting the other nearer islands, ports and the like. Gotta like any kid like that. As stated in Boating Magazine this past summer when the 13' Whaler was listed as one of the 10 greatest boats ever made, "your parents didn't love you if they didn't buy you a 13' Whaler."

Pondscum, (I feel bad calling someone that who I don't even know) Let me know when your serious about heading up to the island. I can give you a low down on the sights so you don't waste time and gas. It is a sweet place. A mandatory trip!!! I cruised the islands in a 13 sport for 10 years. Then finally steped up to a Montauk. What a great boat to grow up in.

Thanks MilwaukeeWhaler. When I was going through a divorce in Illinois I wanted to get far away from it while still being able to be four or five hours from the office. I rented a small home on the west side of W.I. just north of West Harbor. I did Rock Island and St. Martens Island. The kid wants to start at Rock and head over to St. Marten. From St. Marten to Fayette and who knows where else depending on weather.

When I residing on The Island, there were two Whalers. One I think was a 1969 17' Montauk and I don't remember what the other was but it was towed up there frequently by a guy that fished hard, entertained friends and customers and docked in West Harbor over by Russie Jorgensen's Cedar Lodge. By the way, I heard yesterday that the Middle Bar was finally sold.
