Curtis Johnson	posted 01-12-2002 08:32 AM ET (US)         I'm towing a Newport to Tampa, picking up my wife at the Tampa airport Friday, wonder if anyone knows a good motel/resort to stay with a dock, fairly close to the airport? Were just going to cruise, fish, no offshore. Thanks, Curtis
Ed Stone	posted 01-12-2002 09:29 AM ET (US)             Hey curtis,I would suggest crossing the bay to St.pete/clearwater area.Go to gulfblvd. and stay at one of there hotels on the intracoastal.There is a long strecth of protected waterways. good luck! Ed Stone

TampaTom	posted 01-14-2002 04:56 PM ET (US)             The DoubleTree (813 888 8743) on the Causeway. Has a dock for jet skis and boat rentals and about a mile from a ramp. About a two miles from the airport.
