Does anyone know if the new 27 Outrage hull is the same as the new 27 Conquest. If not, which has the better ride?

I am sure it is not, as the 27 Conquest (do they call it that?) was introduced as the 26 Conquest, I think. That hull was of the previous design vocabulary, with the convex curves, "heavier" look in the bow area. This new 270 Outrage is so new, not many have seen it, but they are saying it's of the new "sleeker" Whaler hull design, like the new 210 Outrage.

(I just hate those 3 digit numbers on Whalers!) This they should get rid of quickly. I wonder if the Hatteras line is now in for this fate, too. Whaler's identity is being overly mingled with Sea Ray's.

How about the 29 Conquest as compared to the 29 Outrage, are they the same hulls?

Hey Bobb,
The 27 Outrage is the all new hull like
Larry stated. The 275 Conquest was formerly
the 26 Conquest.(diffrent hull than the
260 Outrage)

The 290 Outrage and 295 Conquest appear
to be the same hulls with diffrent liners.

The "new" 27 hull is still a basic AccuTrac.

They increased the dead rise and sharpened up the entry angle. I think they may have added a few more stakes and kept the reverse chimes for better tracking.

Sea Ray boat designation numbers aren't the cause for Whaler switching. Every competing manufacture in the BW class range uses the 3 digit designation. This is the reason for the switch over. Mumbo Jumbo advertising.
