peteinsf	posted 01-17-2002 11:26 PM ET (US)      Did anyone else see the two CPD Whalers on the Discovery channel last night? They where used by SEAL trainers watching swimmers on a one mile bay swim. Discovery is running a multi-part program that follows a single class of Navy S.E.A.L. wanna-bes through their entire training/wash-out program. The boats are black CPD 22's I think, twin Johnson's, very nice. Maybe a member in San Diego knows the details on these craft?
JFM	posted 01-18-2002 09:22 AM ET (US)             I watched it the night before, when the poor guys were trying to get of in inflatables with paddle power. They were heading into 6' breakers and getting flipped every time. Were they trying the same thing with the Whalers? Regards, Jay
