Can someone let me know how the port livewell located under the seat fills up?

Seatrailed a boat last week but couldn't get it to fill by using the ACC switches. Dealer says you fill it with raw water wash down hose and the nozzle located inside the livewell is an aerator only. I don't believe this is true.

I'm going to check it out again tomorrow

My 21ft Conquest has a valve down near the pump in the bilge which you turn one way for raw water wash down, and the other for bait live well. The valve on my boat has a chrome lever with a red metal tag behind lever.I hope this helps you.

if the aereator nozzel is not pumping water with the raw water switch on,make sure the washdown fitting is working,if it is unscrew the tip of the aereator nozzel this will allow the water to flow through it.the washdown and the aereator tee off of the same pump so if one works the other should
good luck

Sounds like the dealer really knows his product line...... Busy studying up on the SeaRay line I guess.

No excuse IMO....

I have a 23 Outrage, the livewell on our boats is identical, unless Whaler changed them but I doubt it. Under the port stern switch panel is a hatch, within the hatch is a grey plastic valve, turned one direction directs flow to the livewell, the other direction to the washdown. I'd find another dealer or at least let the owner know about this salespersons ineptness.

Thanks for the tips. Went for 2nd seatrial and this time the pump was actually pumping water into the livewell. They also took care of a few other things found wrong with the boat.

This Searay dealer hasn't been easy to work with to say the least. I find it ridiculous to go checkout a boat and find out that I know more about the product than they do. And this being my first boat, I'm far from an expert.

My local Boston Whaler dealer is fantastic but they sold out all of their 2001 23' Conquest so I'm forced to look out of state. This is the only reason I'm dealing with them.
