I think you mean Katama. There are some pictures on one in Cetacea as well as some discussion in the older posts in the FORUM.

Rullell, Thanks looked at the Cetacea site, the boat pictured there was a center console. The boat I will be looking at is a side console. Maybe it was offered as both? Thanks anyway

Katamas are side console. Looks like a center but mounts on the side. Cirituck? was a side console, just like a sport 13 or 15, etc.

The last Katama picture (the one taken from the bow) on http://continuouswave.com/whaler/cetacea/cetaceaPage30.html makes it pretty clear. The console is offset all the way to starboard as on a newport. Kind of cool looking boat with the lashed on canvas.

Thanks Guys.... It looks like a "Quantana" does not exist. It ia a Katama.. Great.. The owner of the "Quantana" told me the boat was an 82, well if the Katama was last built is '72 then this guy is not straight. I will confirm this by checking the Serial Number.... Thanks for all the help..... If I like the boat I can get him down a few Thousand. What is this boat worth. Basicaly a Katama hull and a 1990 85HP Suzuki. ( who knows the real age of the Engine). Assuming a good condition Hull, decent trailer and enging .... total 5K tops or less??

If engine is white....pre 1983. Siler with blue decals...83-87? Then they had silver/gold with blackish decals. Then a brownish oppaint which is til present.

I think '74 was the last year. My Katama is a '74 according to the guy who drew the short straw at Whaler. Wonder how many requests they get. Will try to post pictures as the renovation process goes forward (currently making patterns fron orig. Mill's canvas and windshield.
