Hey Guys,
Any suggestions on a source for a 24 gallon gas tank for a 87' montauk. Mounts under seat.

Howdy Rhem. Cabelas carries the Moeller tanks and BPS has the Tempo.

The most common plastic tank is probably the Tempo 28 gal. That is what I have in mine.

Red sky at night. . .

Hi rhemrah, you must live very close to that big water tower that looks like a peach.

I bought the Tempo 28 (sometimes called 27).

Call Shoreway Marine 1-800-443-5408.

Cat. No. 20670

$104.99 plus $12(shipping)

I think I might go with the Pate next time around for approx $400.

I think the Pate is probably more common
than the Tempo.

For any of y'all that still like the 6 gallon steel tanks, Cabela's now carries brand new 6 gallon steel tanks.

I have always liked the steel tanks because they seal up tight-as-a-drum and they don't leak when the sun shines on them. You do need to keep an eye on them for internal rust though but with the right care, they last a long time. I have been using mine for 20 years and they still don't show any signs of internal rust.

I just put in a Pate 27 gallon tank in my 89 Montauk. It looks great, fits well, I will never tell my wife what it cost, however. I am happy with it and would buy it again.

I called Pate in Miami and they sent one out. The color matches the color of the boat and it looks like BW issue.

Thanks Guys, Y'all have been very helpful.
I think I will try the Pate. The water tower does look like a peach.
