Has anybody seen or know of any Boston Whaler brochures from 1958 through mid 60's? 1967 is the oldest I've seen. |

Ebay is a good source of old brochures but don't expect to buy them cheap. The best go for $50 to $75. I have a 1968 brochure and some from the mid-late 80s (1975 on the way). Would be glad to answer specifics and/or E you stuff from them. Red sky at night. . . |

Thanks Mr. JBCornwell. I'm pretty much up on the specs as they are available here and other places, just thought it would be neat to see the orig. brouchers, pictures and any unique info. they may offer as a keepsake. Also sometimes they have gals in swimwear driving the boats! He he he |

Bigshot - Is your 1966 brochure a one page (both sides) or a multi-page? |

I stil have the original 1958 and 1959 brochures from the 13' only days. Does anyone else have them? Actually I am only missing 3 or 4 years out of the 45 or so years they have been built. Dave |

Did the '87 Outrage 18 come with an 'Owner's Manual'? My '93 Montauk had a nice bound manual which I believe covered the 15',17'and 19'. I'd love to buy one (photo copies OK) if anyone has an extra. BabySitter |

So far I've found the guys at Vintage to have the most complete offerings. It's still hit or miss depending on what he has at any given moment. Try here http://www.vmsl.com/ |

Jimh, Is it possible to add an section with old Whaler brochures (in pdf-format). Members who want to share can add their brochure scanned in a sertain format and do not loose their orginal. |

Copyright rules might be a problem but since we are not paying for that info....might be ok. |

Bigshot, copyright has nothing to do with whether you are paying or not. Copyright is just that -- "copy right", in other words, the right to copy. Chuck |

Then since we are "scanning" is that a loophole? We are not Copying...we are cloning:) |

I recently saw an ebay auction for a catalog like the one firebrand describes go for something like $40.00. There is definitly a people willing to spend some crazy amounts for items like these. Hey, if there's a market, go for it. |

Well, since eBay has been mentioned, I thought I would offer it to "the bretheren" for less than what most sell for on eBay. I'm asking $40 for the full line catalog and $35 for the Options catalog. I have seen items like this go for more when somebody's gotta have one to match their Whaler. I myself, no shame felt here, fell victim and had to have one for the 1975 Newport 16 and spent some (serious or stupid, depending on your personal viewpoint) coin on a choice copy. Wife thought I was nuts, but then again, she decided we should get the Newport. Not one to argue, I went along and am still enjoying the ride. In fact, she (the BOAT!) just came out of the barn for a Spring Cleaning today........ Peas, Brant |
