Any idea what a good (saltwater) trailer for an 18' would cost?

I priced a brand new one using keel rollers and bunks, galvanized for $1,400.00, this fall. Local manufacturer that's been building trailers for 25+ years.

Houston Texas area I recommend:

Sportsman Trailers, Santa Fe, TX

Single axle $1500
Dual Axle 2,000

Drive-on version. Contact Meeks Marine in Kemah for pricing, they are Houston area Whaler dealer.

Go see Charlie at Pacific Trailers. I bought a new one from him a couple years ago and I couldnt be happier. You cant find a roller trailer around here, I tried. Extremely happy now that I bought a bunk trailer. My trailer cost 3k but I got all the extras. You could get one a lot cheaper if thats your goal. Dont buy the side boards the trailer is self centering. I bought them but I took them off. Anyone in the market for a set of side bunks?

I have a galvanized, all welded, structural channel steel section keel roller trailer under my 18, with single axle carrying 2800#, and it cost about $1100 5 years ago, and still does. No brakes, since I have found they are not needed if you have an adequate tow vehicle with anti-locking brakes.

I just helped a friend get the same style trailer, but in tandem 13" wheel configuration, 4000# capacity for his 19' Outrage II (same hull, but heavier), and it cost $1450. See pictures in the trailer reference section.

Both of these trailers came from Florida.

Thanks, I ended up buying the boat with the trailer and your estimates were of great help...

If you are in the N.C. area, try Long Trailers, Tarboro. You can get a blemished, galvanized for less than $1000. My Montauk's transom is 4" from end of bunks. This setup is with the winch all the way back on tongue. Trailer is made for an 18' boat. Keel rollers and bunks with good width. A foot on each side from fiberglass wheel fenders. I cannot tell where the blemish is. Trailer has 14" tires that track great at interstate speed limits.
Tight lines and safe boating.
