Boating Mag. lists the cruise speed at 4000 rpm at a speed of 28.5 mph and a top speed of 41.8. This is with a 225 Evinrude OceanPro. You will love this boat! Mine has twin 175's and is a 1996. I pull it with a 1989 1500 surbuban. It is a bit heavy to tow but it is flat where I live so it does a decent job.

CG Sta Sand Key, 24Ft Justice
Twin 200 Opti
42Kts @5600 rpm.

I could even imagine how much of a pig that boat would be with only a 225. You need twin 150's minimum. I actually won't plane with 3 guys onboard and one engine tilted out of the water. Therefore I think the single 225 would be way low on power.

phatwaler out.

Build Quality?

That 24 Justice must be a bit heavier than the rec. 24. I can plane with a 175 and run 28-31 mph at around 4500. This was with 3 people and one engine tilted up. Slow to plane but not that bad. As far as I know there was very little change in this boat from 1994-97. After the first year the transom door was standard.

Actually, I'm not sure the CG 24 Justice is actually a CPD boat. It has a BWCLA1.... HIN number. Which according to somewhere on this site is a recreational HIN. Supposedly the CPD boat start with a CP... HIN. I will say that the boat is looking pretty rough after 4.5 years of CG use. The T-Top has been a nightmare. Broken welds numerous times. The rear tow bar screen broke in half and almost hit a crewman. I doubt any of this stuff would ever happen under normal recreational conditions though. This particular boat has led a very hard life. It's had about 4 or 5 sets of engines.
