From what I have read, several of us here know about cruising in and around Tebermory Canada. I am going up there May 18th and would like to take my 16' Dauntless along. Any advice on dockage, destinations, hazards, and such would be greatly appreciated. I've been there before but that was pre-Whaler and only to dive.

See my virtual cruising guide to the North Channel:

For Tobermory:

I would also say that on May 18th in that area you better take your long underware!

Second the long underwear - I've been up in the North Channel in the middle of May and while I have experienced beautiful clear-sky days with temperatures reaching into the 70's on occasion, I've also seen pieces of ice floating here and there and stacked up on small rocky islands.

Thanks for the info Jim. I hear you on the underwear. My idiot Canadian friends want to go diving too. Why can't they get married in the Keys? Well, Bigshots nose is already out of joint about this thread being here so....
