Although I grew up in a '69 16' Sakonnet that is still part of my fleet, I am getting ready to get a new-to-me '64 13 Sport ready for the water and I realized I wasn't certain of the standard arrangement for having the drain plugs in the full width aft bulkhead and transom while underway and when the boat is moored in a covered boat slip. My guess would be to have plug in the full width bulkhead and no plug in the transom so the splashwell would self bail, but I felt it best to ask the experts.

Whaletex -

For 15 years ('63 Sport)we ran with just the aft plug in. Found no reason to do otherwise.
