what does F pierce mean concerning whalers???

F=Fisher. Not to be confused with fisher-price that makes toys.

You could combine parts of Bigshot's analogy and say that F = Fisherman's Toy....

That's Fisher Pierce as in Fisher Pierce Manufacturing Company which was the original corporate identity of Boston Whaler. It was Dick Fisher who invented the Boston Whaler. At the time he was in partnership with Bob Pierce in an electrical manufacturing company.

I have never seen "F pierce" written, printed, or referenced anywhere with respect to Boston Whaler boats.

woodshole, could you please give us a citation of there you saw this used in reference to Boston Whaler boats?
